From what seemed like an odd assortment of Test cricketers in the first edition of the IPL, the Royal Challengers turned the table on their detractors and critics with a sensational run in 2009. The men suddenly found the groove and moved alright. Rahul... Full Article at ESPN STAR Sports
Simple and straight.” Make it fair for who exactly? For coaches, who get less than two months to work with players? For players from vastly different backgrounds who have to try and gel from ball one without the benefit of a pre-season? Try explaining... Full Article at The National Newspaper

The biggest challenge is how quickly you acclimatize to the conditions ... and the need to start well in the tournament.
After a summer ruined by Mr Fix-it and the flannelled fools he preyed on, who do we feel more sorry for? For those beyond the boundary whose faith in clay-feet heroes can be unshakeable even in the worst of times? For stalwarts like Anil Kumble who... Full Article at Guardian Unlimited

It didn’t because India were incredibly fortunate to find a generation of high-integrity players. Hadn’t it been for the new skipper Sourav Ganguly and his band of upright men, Sachin Tendulkar, Anil Kumble, Rahul Dravid, V V S Laxman, Javagal Srinath... Full Article at DreamCricket.com

That was my first multi-discipline event. The Indian cricket team was there. They were staying above us in the same building. Sachin Tendulkar was there and Anil Kumble came to the badminton hall to see a few matches we played. It was a memorable experience

Jacques and Dale are both world class players, and they know the local conditions very well ... They can share their knowledge of the conditions and that should be of great benefit to the team as a whole. We are very happy to be playing this tournament in South Africa. We did well in the IPL in South Af...
Three former India captains -- Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and Anil Kumble -- too were never approached and such a situation was beyond their imagination
It is disappointing. The investigation is on, and only when the final judgment is made, can we can discuss about it
I am doing what (the former cricketer) Anil Kumble has already done. It is a good cause and I endorse it.
Sachin is already a ‘Bharat Ratna' in terms of the millions of hearts he has touched in India and abroad and it was a privilege for me to share the dressing room with him throughout my career
Having said that, RCB have loads of depth and a fierce competitor in Anil Kumble at the helm. They also have Jacques Kallis, Ross Taylor, Uthappa and Cameron White. The team whose batting clicks will win the competition
I take one step at a time. If we do well and return with the trophy then it is added motivation for me. But the next IPL is still far and it is early days for me to comment on that.
Anil Kumble is a living legend, and CSA is honoured that he has accepted our invitation to come out to South Africa and work with tomorrow's stars. We will also invite some of our women cricketers, young batsmen and wicket keepers, who we believe, will benefit from the experience.
We play Guyana first and then we do know how the Mumbai Indians play and as for the other teams (South Australia and Lions) I am sure we will have a good look as they have matches ahead of our first game (Sept. 12) against Guyana. We will stick to our basics and the team has jelled well and it is just a...
I think our bowling looks really weak and we must do something about it. At the end of the day it is not about rest, it is about discipline. Sachin Tendulkar, Anil Kumble and Rahul Dravid are perfect examples.
Praveen Kumar has done well in Sri Lanka, A. Mithun too has gained in exposure and Vinay Kumar has always done well and we have the back-up of Jacques Kallis and Dale Steyn and they know the conditions well
I wish the very best to the three captains MS Dhoni (Chennai Super Kings), Sachin Tendulkar (Mumbai Indians) and Anil Kumble (Royal Challengers Bangalore) for this event and hope that their teams do their best in this prestigious T20 event
It's a bit too late ... We had to announce our squad about a month ago, which we did.
You forget the best spinner is Anil Kumble. Not Bedi or Venkataraghavan or any other. I think the best ever spinner produced (in India) is Kumble. No doubt about it and nobody can doubt it. Statistics-wise and on the basis of other things, he is far ahead than other guys
It is the first tournament for a lot of teams

Of course I am worried. These days youngsters who have not even played for India have agents
Why can't we have bowlers like Anil Kumble or Shane Warne? I've never seen better than S Venkatraghavan or Erapalli Prasanna
It happens in the IPL as well. When we play Mumbai, I give my team some extra inputs about Sachin and he does the same about me with his team ... And yes, you can bet I will be picking the brains of such players that much more.
I have said many times that I am available and obviously if something like this comes then I would definitely be really honored to receive such kind of responsibility. I will get it when that time comes. I have seen Anil Kumble retiring. He was the captain of India for two years. For me it will be the s...
I don't see any issues here ... They are professionals and I am sure there will be no clash of loyalties.
I am going there for the South African Cricket Board conference as a guest speaker and I will spend a few hours with their spinners.
It is a novel idea and people can adopt animals for even one day and for occasions like birthdays and anniversaries. This is a nice way of conserving nature.
